I hope to create a collaborative and working relationship with each of my clients. It can be daunting to face one’s sufferings and concerns. However, by walking this journey with you, I hope we can build the skills and resilience for you to face these experiences with newfound hope, understanding, and change. I enjoy working with adults, youth, couples, and families with a variety of concerns.

I have experience counselling individuals with substance use, medical procedures in hospitals, students and youth engaging in at-risk activities, brain injury, ADHD, Sexual Abuse, OCD or those struggling with mental health difficulties. As a result, I developed a sensitivity towards traumatic situations, abuse, and suicide. Additionally, I have been married for over 9 years and I love working with couples to help increase communication, overcome betrayal, or even work on managing everyday life together. I am non-status Indigenous and looking to supporting fellow indigenous people. I hope to create a comfortable space for people to share their experiences and difficulties.

My main approach to therapy is CBT. This involves addressing your thoughts and how they interact with your emotions and behaviours. I also have completed my EMDR level 1 training and can utilize this technique with clients for a multitude of trauma situations. Additionally, I like to work with Existential Psychology for those searching for a more in-depth approach. For families, I utilize the approach of Structural Family Systems which aims to create healthier boundaries among family members. I also employ the strengths of other theories such as DBT, Attachment theory, and ACT, to create a well-rounded practice. I love using different mediums in therapy, such as art, drama, or music. Overall, I hope to create a therapy tailored to you, as you are the author of your story.

My Favourite Quote is from Viktor Frankl’s book “Man’s search for meaning”: “We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms -to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances- to choose one’s own way."

Masters of Counselling Intern

I’m truly thrilled to be joining Northward Counselling as I complete my Masters of Counselling internship. My perspective is deeply shaped by six years of military service and over a decade in the trades. These experiences instilled in me a strong foundation of resilience, teamwork and adaptability and are qualities that fuel my dedication to helping others.

My practice is built on providing client-centred, trauma informed care. One of my guiding principles is to create a safe non-judgemental space where you are recognized as the expert of your own life. We’ll work together to define clear goals, uncover your hidden strengths, and develop practical skills.

I specialize in supporting veterans and first responders, couples and individuals navigating major life transitions. I am committed to applying evidence-based, culturally responsive, and client-centred approaches that embrace curiosity, collaboration, and respect for each person’s story.

In the spirit of Northward Counselling, I am honoured to walk alongside you- one intentional step at a time, as we climb your mountain together toward the life that matters most to you.
